Fall on Top/Summer on Bottom

It’s already November!!! and it still doesn’t quite feel like fall yet…very sad about that, as it’s looking to be a mild winter here on the West Coast thanks to El Nino. So here we have fall on top and summer on the bottom. The nights/early mornings are still chilly though and the days are warm. And we’ve officially set our clocks back yesterday woooo! I know most people don’t like when it gets dark early, but I live for these months.

In other news, I just came back from my Bali trip with my girlfriends last week! Very happy and surprised to not have gotten jet lag over there or back here at home. It was such a magical and relaxing trip – Bali was so good to us. I’m so happy we got to clear our schedules and devote this one week with each other.  I will be sharing all things Bali in my next post!

Summer in Fall

Welps, it’s officially October!..yet it still feels like summer. So the shorts and skirts (skort in this case) are still staying, hopefully for not much longer.

The countdown is real…less than weeks before my Bali trip!! The closer it gets, the more excited I am. Especially while planning the itinerary this past week with my gal pals. I am a tad nervous tho of an earthquake happening or a volcano erupting..those two events has happened this past year, with the earthquake one being the most recent (altho it was on a different island).

Sometimes I get asked if I still like my job, and yes I still LOVE my job. but sometimes I do wonder if this is what I’d want to do for the rest of my career. Where and what do I go from here? All these questions…but no answers. But that’s okay, guess that’s what life is about – the unknown. I also get asked if I would make this blog my career, but honestly, I started blogging with no intention of making revenue off of it. I always said, if it happens then great, if it doesn’t that’s great too. I started creating personal blogs and sites when I was in middle school. I continued blogging heavily all throughout highschool and until my mid-college years. I finally got back into blogging last year and for me, it’s more of a place for me to write and recap my memories. But, I want to be able to show my good days along with my bad. I don’t want my social media to look picture perfect all the time, because let’s face it – it’s not. That’s also why I want to keep it real and honest. So thank you, if you’ve been following me along this journey =)

Girly

I remember when I bought this top a few months back, I was on the hunt for statement tops cause after purging my closet I realized I didn’t have any ‘nice’ tops that stood out. So this one definitely did the trick =]

Since it is officially October, the countdown to my Bali trip has begun…exactly 3 more weeks!!! The real planning for it has begun and it gets me even more excited. This is also the first trip that all 6 of us girls [my longtime middle school/highschool friends] will be going on an international trip together! I will definitely be taking tons of pics and marking all the food spots there to post on here!

Also, another exciting news…I am officially booked to go to Japan in April 2019!! And golly wholly did I get a good deal for it! I could not believe it. I’ve been monitoring flights for it the whole month of September and over the weekend I decided to randomly check and Japan Airlines was having a crazy good deal for it. For any international booking, I highly recommend using Google Flights.

Nautical

It’s finally here!…autumn is now in season! Too bad here in Northern Cali we don’t feel like fall until early November =[ but the mornings are definitely getting more chilly and the days are still warm.

This outfit actually wasn’t meant to be a nautical theme but when I looked at it after it just turned out that way. It’s a good transition outfit right now when the weather is so in-between right now. I do miss those days when autumn felt like autumn and we saw red and orange leaves all over the ground. Anyways, on to exciting things…my Bali trip is in exactly ONE month!! It’s hard to believe it’s coming up so quickly when it was just 9 months ago that we started booking it. By we, I mean me and my 5 girlfriends. Girls birthday trip to commemorate our 30th birth year 🙂

Blessing and a Curse

Writing has been a form of therapy for me. It lets me organizes what I’m thinking when I can’t figure it out. The past week I’ve been in a funk and usually I’d get out of the house but this time, I just stayed home and watched my shows. And it helped. Sometimes I wonder why I care so much, for people, for things, for situations,…when they don’t reciprocate the same back. I feel it’s both a blessing and a curse. I find myself questioning at times, are they even thinking the same of me?  Other times, I think what am I doing…but sometimes you can’t help how you feel, no matter how hard you try to fight it. Does anyone believe in signs? Cause I’ve been seeing it everywhere. And I keep thinking the universe is playing with me, because I know it can’t be but yet I keep seeing these signs. Just stop universe, stop playing with me.
